War Thunder has released a brand new update – Firestorm – just early this month. The update brings along a plethora of goodies ranging from awesome new tanks and airplanes to new game engine and in-game physics. Check out the video to find out more!War Thunder: Firestorm Update 1.53 is one of the most incredible updates to date! Firestorm brings along a plethora of goodies ranging from awesome new tanks and airplanes to new game engine and in-game physics. Let’s find out more!
The Firestorm update implements the new game engine, Dagor 4.0. Dagor 4.0 offers a whole new look to War Thunder, giving a much more realistic feel, along with much better physics, particularly in terms of destruction of buildings in urban maps. Not to mention, the update also applies nVidia’s amazing Wavework technology that makes every body of water in war Thunder look crystal clear and incredibly mesmerizing.
In addition to better graphics and physics, Firestorm also provides players a huge range of new tanks and airplanes. The British will be getting new cruiser tanks, like the A13 Mk2 tank, along with Sherman Firefly TRZYNIEC, M10 Achilles, A43 Black Prince, and some other tanks.
The USA, Germany and the USSR aren’t going to let Britain get all the best tanks though! One of the most interesting tanks the USA is getting is the M26 Pershing, a medium tank equipped with both an unguided rocket launcher system and a M3 cannon. There are of course other tanks such as the T25 and the lightweight, T92, for players who enjoy using tanks from the USA tree.
Rocket launching tanks are getting quite a bit of love in Firestorm as the Germany and the USSR are getting one of their own as well. The Panzerwerfer 42 of Germany is a beast of a tank – it can launch multiple rockets in a single volley. The USSR isn’t losing out either! The nation will be given a nice BM-8-24 rocket tank along with the game’s very first amphibious tank, the PT-76!
Want to rain some fire on your enemies from the skies? Well, the Firestorm update introduces a plethora of new aircrafts. For instance, the USSR finally got their own flying fortress – the heavy bomber, Pe-8. The USA also managed to obtain 2 naval bombers while the Japanese gets yet another agile fighter plane.
War Thunder’s Firestorm update also bring about 2 brand new maps, namely Advance to the Rhine and Stalingrad Tractor Factory. These maps are designed using authentic photographs of the sites themselves and provide more grounds for players to train up their skills in urban settings. Last but not least, the hangar will see some changes as well. The update will change your crew skill window, making it much easier for you to distribute experience points.
Sounds like a whole lot of fun is waiting for you at War Thunder! So do dust off the dusts and cobwebs on your War Thunder game client, update it and boot the game up today to experience these new amazing changes. See you on the battlefield!
