Summary

Have a blast shooting bubbles while rescuing adorable furry chicks, eliminating spiders and defeating a sly fox in Bubble CoCo. Help mama hen free her babies from the bubble traps by shooting bubbles of the same color. Harvest time is abundant in this farm-themed bubble shooter, and every level is always a fun adventure.

Gameplay

The first few levels of Bubble CoCo starts off pretty easy, and like all bubble shooters, you need to aim different colored bubbles – or in this case, they appear to be fruits – to clear the clusters on the board. You need to use the dotted line (also called the bubble guide) to aim towards the same-colored bubbles you want to clear. You can choose to change between two different bubbles before shooting, and you can do so by pressing the Spacebar. Mama Hen will be happy to switch bubbles for you.

These clusters will sometimes trap poor chicks or hold threats like spiders and other creatures. At a later stage, you need to free hedgehogs stuck between the bubbles to help fight the Sly Mr. Fox.

To clear a level, you need to meet the goals as indicated at the start of the game. For instance, if you need to save a specific number of chicks, the number is shown on the left side of the game window. Reach the goal and you’re through to the next round. You can earn one to three stars for completing each level, and it will depend on how well you popped bubbles.

You only have five attempts to successfully pass a level. When your five lives are all used, you need to wait until it’s refreshed or you can ask more lives from your Bubble CoCo friends. You can also buy more lives with real money.

As you reach certain levels, boosters will be unlocked. For the first two boosters, you’re given a longer bubble guide (the line used to shoot bubbles) and another one is the Bomb Bubble which turns five bubbles into bombs when unleased. The third booster is the Lightning Bolt, which unleashes a lightning strike at the beginning of the game, popping random bubbles off the board.

There are more boosters that get unlocked as you reach higher levels, and you can use a limited number of these for free. You can use Coins to buy more boosters from the Shop. If you don’t have enough Coins, you can purchase them using Diamonds. Diamonds are given as rewards during the game. You can also get them with real money from the game’s Shop.

Aside from boosters, you also get to unlock power-ups as you progress in the game. There’s the Rocket, which shoots through bubbles. Unfortunately, it doesn’t bounce on walls. Then there’s the Magic Candy, which shoots an entire cluster of bubbles. Again, these power-ups are provided for free in limited amounts, so you’ll have to buy them if you want more.

When you reach a certain part of the map, you’ll get to a locked gate, and you need to unlock this to play the next stage. To do this, you need to get the keys which will open the gate. You need a total of three keys to unlock the gate. You can request keys from friends or buy them with Diamonds.

Community

Bubble CoCo has a huge and active community, with over 400,000 followers on its Facebook page. Most of your Facebook friends may already be playing the game, so don’t forget to add them. Facebook friends can send you lives and you can earn Coins and even Diamonds for getting friends to join the game. Coins are also given in exchange for sharing your success in each level. Bubble CoCo is a colorful and entertaining bubble shooter. The graphics and sound complement each other in creating a farm theme for the game. Bubble shooters have the tendency to look alike, but this one does its best to keep things interesting, banking on a player’s emotions to have mercy on poor trapped chicks or anger towards the Sly Mr. Fox. The game also tries its best to personalize the experience by mentioning your name once in a while. There’s nothing ground-breaking about Bubble CoCo’s graphics and sound, but it’s cute and engaging enough, which makes it kid-friendly.

Conclusion

Bubble CoCo is a solid and wholesome bubble shooter that anyone can enjoy. It’s not too easy, but not too hard either.
