Why, you can have a great time growing a large variety of them, arranging them in vases or bouquets and then selling them in your very own flower shop in this fun-filled management game, Flower Shop! Plant, grow and harvest a huge range of different types of pretty flowers from your garden! Directly selling fresh stalks of flowers won’t earn you much money though. Thus, utilize your flower arrangement skills and pretty up these flowers with vases or colorful wrappings... you can even accompany the bouquet of flowers with gifts too! You can even process the flowers you’ve harvested to produce floral goods such as floral essences and cosmetics. You can even visit your friends’ gardens and collect flowers from their gardens as well! Gameplay
The game starts off with a brief and comprehensive tutorial by Vivian, who is a florist herself. The first step to running a successful flower shop or any business for that matter is to ensure your supply. Without a steady supply, you will have nothing to sell, right?
To cultivate a blooming flowerbed, you’ll need somewhere to plant your flower seeds. Thus, begin by purchasing garden plots from the market first! Place them in the piece of land outside your shop and then purchase seeds to sow them. Flower Shop provides a huge variety of flowers - more than 30 different types of beautiful flowers - for you to choose from and plant, such as Marigold, Daisies, Lupine, Irises, Begonias, Zinnias and Pansies. There are also flowers that are premium currency only. Since you have to wait for your flowers to mature, if you’re impatient, you can buy, using real money, and use instant grow to make them mature immediately or Super Grow to reduce their growth time by 50%. However, most of the flowers can be grown pretty quickly (around 5 minutes), so you will probably not need these growth boosts too often.
After the flowers mature, you can then harvest them. All the flowers you’ve harvested will be stored in the flower storage. The storage has limit storage space and you can increase the space by upgrading your storage. The game also mimics Farmville in a way - your flowers will wilt if you forgot to harvest them after too long. If this happens, you will need to use unwither to rejuvenate all wilted flowers or you can just take your losses and replant all of them. If you have some real money to spare, you can also buy gasoline for the planter harvester machine to mass plant and harvest your flowers too! Running out of space to plant more seeds? Well, you can clear the weeds on your plot of land and add more garden plots. You can also expand your land to produce more flowers by shelling out a sizeable amount of in-game money.
Now that you have bunches of flowers, what can you do with them? Why, sell them, of course! You can sell them directly as fresh flowers, at wholesale prices, to Trader Lou, but these dealings won’t earn you a lot of money in addition to the tight deadlines to meet. Thus, you need to make your flowers more appealing to customers and what’s better than by arranging them in vases or wrap them up into bouquets? Click on a floral display to select which arrangement you want, depending on which flower you have. Then you can choose either to use a vase or just wrap it up into a bouquet. Vases will cost you money to buy but they will sell for a lot more. You can even add extras, mainly gifts that will accompany the flowers
Flower arrangement is a trade skill in Flower Shop and it takes some time to come up with just the perfect arrangement, but you can always speed things up with some coffee! Don’t forget to remove the bow after it’s done to unveil your latest work! Each floral display can only display up to 50 items of the same type of item though... at least until the items are sold out. You can buy more floral displays - unlimited number of them, in fact - as long as you have enough money to buy the displays. You can even process your flowers into goods, such as floral essences lotions, and cosmetics, to increase the profits you gain. Machineries are needed to craft this sort of items though and these machines don’t come cheap. However, if you can afford them, they are well-worth the cost!
Don’t forget to increase your shop’s appeal by adding décor to make the whole place look beautiful as well! Décor can be rather expensive though in Flower Shop, especially if you’re a casual sort of player, who only logs in from time to time. You may also encounter locals with their flower-related woes. After you’ve helped them out by completing their quest chain, you will earn a rather sweet achievement at the end!
You are the only person manning your store, so you can only perform 1 task at a time. However, you can hire other people as employees to help out at your store. Any hired people will stay in your store and work for 2 days, after which he/she will then need to return to their own shops. These “other people” that you can hire are your neighbors in Flower Shop. Even if you’re playing alone though, you can get Vivian to help you out!
Not to mention, you can also visit your neighbors’ shops and help yourself to some of their mature flowers from their gardens too! You will need help from your friends to contribute materials in order to finish constructing new buildings like the farmer’s market, which will provide you with an alternative way to sell your flowers directly for cash or the flower-themed theme park, Flowerland. Hence, having plenty of friends who play Flower Shop is extremely beneficial. After all, Flower Shop is a social type of game.

There are 1.4 million likes on the Facebook fan page for Flower Shop, and well, 1.4 million people can’t be all wrong about how fun this game is, right? Furthermore, due to the game’s focus on social parts of the game, Flower Shop offers an attractive alternative instead of simply adding strangers to your Facebook friends’ list – community neighbors. With the community neighbors system, you can add neighbors to the game without actually adding them into your Facebook friends’ list. This is a very nice feature for dedicated players to add plenty of friends so they can progress in the game a lot faster.
Graphics/ Sound
The graphics in Flower Shop is anime-like/ cartoony and they are both absolutely adorable and beautiful. This includes the décor, the flowers, the characters and even the buildings! Everything is so brightly colored that the game itself is able to brighten up anybody’s day! The music in the game, on the other hand, is pleasant and quirky, though it does sound out of tune and/or weird in certain places.

All in all, Flower Shop is brilliant virtual shop management and simulation game whereby you get to have your very own flower shop! Put your green thumbs to good use by planting, growing and harvesting crops of flowers in your garden!
