Criminal Case
It's like role-playing a TV drama!
Criminal Case is one of those popular Hidden Objects games in Facebook, and it has even received an award recognizing it for its many great points.Do you want to know what those great points are?
For starters, it's the narrative that drives people to play the game. Criminal Case has a very coherent storyline that anyone can follow. In fact, it is the narrative that drives the exploration of the different areas in the game. There are even reviews that said playing the game is like starring in their own crime drama series on TV.
Indeed, the cases in Criminal Case are episodic. You play the role of a detective that will look into each of the murders that are the centerpiece of each episode. In the beginning, you are assisted by Detective Jones but you can build your own team later on when you invite your friends to play the game with you. This is the social aspect of the game, and is very rewarding.
Adding friends to your team will give you free hints. Depending on how often that friend plays, each team member will give you five hints when you pick him or her to be your partner when you investigate a crime scene. The Hint is a power-up. It helps you to find an Object that you are having trouble with in any given crime scene.
Aside from assisting you in your search, Hints also help you gain Stars quickly. When you finish a crime scene without using a single Hint, those five hints (or any number of hints left) will be added to your total score. Each Hint is worth 20,000 points, so not using your partner's five hints will give you an additional 100,000 points to your total score.
Each Star is worth a specific amount of points. When you fill up a Star with your score, the Star is then added to your inventory. Stars are invaluable for progressing through the story, because it allows you to do actions like talk to suspects, and initiate puzzles that will reveal clues necessary for pinpointing who the actual perpetrator of the crime is.
Stars can also be used to purchase Orange Juices, Potato Chips and Burgers. These will restore a certain amount of energy so that you can continue playing. Otherwise, you will have to purchase these Boosters using Cash, the game's currency. When you run out of cash, you will have to buy using real money.
You can also collect Cards in Criminal Case. Card collections can be used to obtain Energy Boosters as well.
At some point in the game, you will be allowed to purchase and train Dogs. Dogs allow you to find bonus items in Crime Scenes, like Energy Boosters or Cards, as well as Gold, another currency in the game. Gold can be used to purchase other power-ups like Extra Hints, Magnifying Glass to find out what the object looks like if you're unsure, etc.
To train a dog, you will have to feed it periodically, which is one more reason why you should be logging in to your account every day. Feeding will increase your dog's Loyalty, which in turn will increase its level and enhance the odds of it finding stuff from Crime Scenes.
Last, but definitely not the least, is the Daily Bonus. You can win Orange Juices, Potato Chips, Gold and Cards by claiming your Daily Bonus diligently every day.
The graphics for this game is adequate to make spotting of the Hidden Objects a little challenging but not too difficult that it will strain the eyes. The aim, after all, is to find the objects as quickly as possible without hurting one's eyes.
With a fast-paced and compelling narrative to drive its pleasantly enjoyable Hidden Objects quests in the Crime Scenes, Criminal Case is a great game for you to play for a few minutes every day while on your breaks. It can get quite addictive, however, so play in moderation.
