Gameplay
The game starts off with a simple tutorial, teaching the basic of the game. What you need to do in Chimpact Pop is pretty simple – you just need to pop 3 or more bubbles of the same color using the bubble shooter provided. You can also press spacebar to swap bubbles from the barrel (the bubbles that are next in line) to the cannon.
However, unlike most of the other bubble shooter games, the training wheels are immediately off in this game – you are not given any targeting lines to guide you. Thus, if you’re trying to perform a tricky shot, well, just shoot and pray that it hits! But if you managed to make it work, every successfully performed tricky shot will earn you more bonus points!
Furthermore, being a rather old game itself, Chimpact Pop follows the classic bubble shooter format. This means that the objective in this game is to clear the entire board of bubbles and not merely to uncover a certain number of bubbles at the ceiling of the board. This makes the game a tad bit on the difficult side, considering that you’ll need to pop or drop all the bubbles on the board.
Although there is no obvious time limit, the “ceiling” of the board will slowly move downwards notch by notch after some time. You may also have noticed that there’s a red line at the bottom. If any of the bubbles on the board is low enough to touch this red line, you’ll fail the level. Thus, speed, besides accuracy, is also the key in successfully solving the levels in Chimpact Pop.
Not to mention, the game provides you with limited number of bubbles to complete the objective, making the game much tougher and challenging to play! However, Chimpact Pop usually provides quite a lot of bubbles for you to use (you’ll always start with 74 bubbles) and for most of the levels, these bubbles are sufficient to complete a level. In fact, you’ll probably have plenty of leftovers as well! So, in short, the faster you complete a level using the minimal number of moves, you’ll earn more bonus points that will drastically bump up your score.
Each level contains up to 3 stars for you to gain per level, but somehow even with perfect shots, it can be difficult to get 3 stars... even for the earlier levels. Thankfully though, you just need to obtain at least 1 star to get through to the next level. All of these levels are grouped into stages. The first stage in this game contains only 5 levels, and the game increases each stage by 1 level. So, in other words, the second stage has 6 levels while the third has 7 levels and so on and so forth. Thus, you’ll be seeing changes in scenery (background image) quite often.
If you failed a level somehow, you’ll then lose a life. There are 5 lives in this game and once they are all gone, you’ll need to wait for them to regenerate by themselves over time in order to continue playing. However, if you have some friends who play Chimpact Pop too... well, you can ask your friends to send you some lives so you can continue playing. If not, you can always spend some real cash to buy more lives while supporting the developers behind this game that you love.

Chimpact Pop has more than 50 thousand monthly active players and for a pretty old bubble-shooting game, it is quite good in fact. However, the game doesn’t have a fan page or any way for its community to interact with one another or with the developing team behind the game. Graphics/ Sound
The visuals in Chimpact Pop are pretty colorful and beautiful in their unique cartoony way. The background images provided are one of the best that I’ve seen for a casual game, so for graphics, this game got it well covered! Music-wise, the game did rather okay as it provides casual music that is pretty catchy and is filled with plenty of ambient sound of the forest, such as the sound of tigers fighting, elephants trumpeting, birds chirping or monkeys chattering.
Conclusion
In short, Chimpact Pop is a pretty solid classic bubble shooter game with astonishing 3D graphics.
