Summary
In this fun tactical game you will need to recruit an army of characters to fight for you as you try to stop the evil forces from wrecking the world you know. Use your hero combos to your advantage, equip and upgrade them to make your army stronger and see if you can save your home.
Gameplay
When you begin the game you are taken on a tour by one of the characters, she will show you around as a guide and introduce you to the varied aspects of Idle Heroes. Here you will see how to create and equip your characters as well as the battle and automatic farming features. When the tour is over you then have control over the full game and can begin to explore and gather your heroes.
One of the first features you notice is the ability to run combat in a passive mode that grants you experience and rewards. While this is active you will not move forward in the progress meters for the story, but you will get all of the benefits of fighting. If you want to advance a rank you simply press battle, otherwise you can leave it farming and come back for the rewards later in the day.
To progress through the story and complete battles you need your heroes, these are characters divided into factions, each of which has an advantage over one and a weakness to another. These characters come with star ratings and are more powerful the higher the value. You can also increase the value of these characters to make them tougher. As a reward for the battles you will also find items to give them and they will increase in levels.
There are several ways to open up new heroes, you can find them in battles, collect shards from the store or in the battles and you can craft them using soul essence. This is collected from other heroes you do not need and can destroy. This is also a good way to empower your heroes and make them better to reach the higher levels of the game.
As you gain experience and levels you will also open up new features, such as a forge, expeditions and the PvP arena. Once you unlock the feature you can use it whenever you want, and many come with their own unique rewards. In PvP there is also a ranking system, and the higher your rank the greater the rewards.
You also have a series of challenges, quests and achievements to try and complete. Each of these will give you either gold or things you can use and they are a good guide as to what to do next. If you log in daily there are also rewards, for every day they grow in power. Should you wish to you can also spend some real money on a variety of in game offers that will increase your power and gold funds.
