S.K.I.L.L Special Forces 2 is a fast paced action MMO FPS, with a huge player base, lots of different game modes and awesome gameplay. Dominate the ranks solo or as a team in one of the best shooter games around.
There is no storyline to the game, rather there are several different styles of game you can play, and lots of rooms to play in. You simply select the style and room you wish to enjoy. You can also create your own room, either for private games or public.
When you first log in to the game you are taken to your Lobby, from here you control everything about your avatar, gear and the games you join as well as the shop. The lobby also shows you your current look, ranking and statistics. A brief overview is provided and then you are taken into some fun tutorial skirmishes to show you the controls for the game.
As you would expect there is a combination of mouse and keyboard control for movement and shooting, with a few other commands for changing weapons and reloading. These basic tutorials take you through the whole process, and are pretty simple to complete, doing so will also give you some SP to spend too.
Once you finish the tutorials you are then able to begin searching for games, or looking for new equipment and weapons to use. To find a game you can access the rooms list where you will see a list of all of the games currently in progress or waiting to start. Simply click on a list to join. There are 5 different types of game to join in.
Blasting Matches have 2 sides, the attackers and defenders, with the attackers trying to place a bomb at a specific location, and the defenders stopping them. A points based game where an early victory can be scored when you remove the entire opposing team, as you do not respawn until a round is over. In the Single game, it is every person for themselves, and the player with the highest score at the end of the timer is the winner.
Team deathmatch puts you with other players and the team with the highest score, or the first to reach the maximum number of points wins. Seizure games have 2 sides, infiltrators and defenders, the infiltrators have to steal some plans from the defenders. If they do so they get a point, if the defenders stop them they get a point, the team with the most points wins.
The Party games are something a little special, here you are in a team, and restricted to starting with a pistol. There are random weapons in the middle of the floor, which you can pick up. However everything is glass, and the idea is to shoot the glass out from underneath players to make them drop, the team with 1 person left standing wins.
Each of these games can be entered and played if they are in the lists, though there are games that are for VIP’s only. Before you jump into a battle, you may want to check out the store and buy yourself some equipment. The store houses not only your weapons, but other pieces of equipment that can help you in a game too.
There is a huge selection of weapons, across every type from axes to sniper rifles. Each weapon will cost a certain amount of SP or cash, in some cases both. Each weapon has a set of statistics, Range, Accuracy, Clip and Damage and you can find weapons to suit your play style.
You can also purchase clothes and armor that will give you bonuses too, these will not only increase your armor but also give you an edge in games too. The better your weapon and kit the easier it is to play and the more kills you can achieve.
There are 2 currencies in S.K.I.L.L Special Forces 2, SP and Cash. Sp are earned by playing, and cash are purchased for real money through the game. You can spend SP or Cash on items, you can also use your cash to buy VIP status, this gives you access to better weapons, and a few other perks too.
Where this game really stands out is when you are actually in the action, there are some really well designed maps and the gameplay is fast, fun and really really smooth. Your enemies are highlighted enough for you to tell them apart easily for both players and bots. The game plays out really well, and there is often no waiting time between games.
With such a huge variety of games and maps it is no wonder this game is growing in popularity pretty fast. And the fact you can create your own game, with control of the map and style you can ensure that you get what you want when you play.
The community here is pretty strong, there is a lot of forum activity and a huge E-Sports support too. There are global rankings, as well as regional and you can see how you compare to players all over the world.
You can also join in with a clan too, these are organized groups that play together, and hold events. Clans are a great way to meet new people and provide a really nice social structure to an otherwise competitive genre.
Simply put, this game looks stunning, when you play and when you are in the lobby. The graphics are top notch, and fully rendered 3D characters roam around the screen. There are some really nice touches on the weapons too, as well as some great graphics outside in the lobby.
There is a lot of different music that plays in the background, and there is a lot of battle noise going on too, this actually works well, you can make calls yourself or listen to the bots for hints about what is going on. All of the sounds and music can be controlled so you can set what you want to hear.
If you are looking for a fun, casual or serious MMO FPS then S.K.I.L.L Special Forces 2 is a great game for you. With a really nice balance between the 2 you can really play how you want. The game looks great and feels good when you play too. All in all there is a perfect package sitting right here, and it is very much worth your time to play, especially as it is free.
