The matches are relatively short since it’s only a race to score 11 points and uses the traditional two- and three-point scoring methods. With that said, quick matches are a good thing; it makes the game easy to pick up and play and delivers fast gratification.
Despite being a basketball game, NBA CLASH isn’t a simulation like NBA 2K or the now-dead NBA Live. Instead, it’s an arcade game, and players possess abilities that will change the way they play.
The main draw of NBA CLASH is its wide selection of real NBA players. These include rising stars like Ja Morant and Josh Giddey, along with established players like Jordan Clarkson and Demarr DeRozan. Topping the list off are players who will likely end up in the Hall of Fame someday, like Steph Curry and Joel Embiid. You’ll basically choose six players among the cards you have, with three of them on the court at the same time.
Every player has a unique ability you can trigger when you fill up a gauge via your on-court actions, whether a scoring run or a defensive stop. Steph Curry can daze the entire opposing team with his moves, while Draymond Greene uses his imposing presence to cause his adversaries to run out of energy. In addition, Karl Anthony Towns can add another point whenever he makes a three-pointer, while Jimmy Butler can steal the ball with a 100% success rate.

The game relies heavily on loot box rewards, but you can obtain cards and other rewards through challenges and achievements.
