In this beautiful team battle game you must find a party of creatures to fight with you in turn based combat where your decisions mean a win or a loss. As soon as you log into the game you are taken into a battle, with your teacher showing you the basics and from there you are on your own. In this brief tutorial you learn about the different attacks you can make, and how the elemental synergies work. You also get a brief guide on how to summon and equip your creatures too.
Once that is all done you are able to begin the adventure part of the game, here you have a huge series of story quests where you can discover a lot of different bosses and enemies,a s well as find a few allies and all of the things you need to improve your army of creatures and heroes. There are lots of different creatures for you to own, from a humble griffon to a mighty dragon and much more.
In each battle your creatures have 3 skills that they can use, and each one fulfills a certain role, as a defender, support or striker. Each role will have unique abilities to defend, attack or help your team out. Each creature takes a turn, your basic attack can be used all the time, while special abilities will have a cooldown. The creatures in each team also have an elemental alignment, which will do extra damage against its opposing aspect, but also take more damage too. You can see what the enemy is each time you choose to attack.
There is also your main character hero power, this gives you an ability that takes time to charge, when it is full you can use it on any of your creatures turns, the starting ability is to damage all opponents, but as you gain levels of your own you can change this to a different skill which can help you in the later battles.
At the end of each battle you will receive experience for your creatures, your character and either coins or one of the needed elemental stones to boost your characters with. The characters you fight with can all increase their level which will help to to match the later monsters, each new level will raise their overall power, which increases the team power and gives you a better chance to win.
There are also lots of daily quests, achievements and special events for you to participate in. Doing so will give you a huge amount of rewards and the daily quests especially have a series of great items and the premium currency Seals can also be earned here. You also will recieve new Seals when you gain a level, and these can be spent on special set boxes, greater summons and item kits. Though you can buy them with real money if you wish there are lots of ways to get them in game too.
The gameplay for Might and Magic: Elemental Guardians is beautiful, the battles have amazing animations and the characters have unique and special attacks. The interface and school designs are awesome and it is really clear what you can do and where you need to go. This is a thoroughly enjoyable experience and a very pretty game to play.
Though this has the Might and Magic name to it, it is actually a stand alone game, with no real links to the original more adult games. Having said that this is a very popular game and has a lot of people playing it. The format of team battles is very popular right now and it shows in how many people are here. You can form and join guilds and take part in numerous activities as a group, all of that adds up to a big community of people to play with.
This is a stunning place to be, Might and Magic: Elemental Guardians is well designed, beautifully animated and has a huge range of unique models and characters. The combat is great to play and the sheer scale of everything is lovely to see. With a lot of effort put into how this looks and plays you have a great looking game with a depth of character and feel that is just amazing to lose yourself in.
This is a wonderfully crafted game full of fun creatures, great combat and a style that is enjoyable to see. While it is a free to play game they are generous with the Seals and you get a lot as a new player. All of this combined with its awesome look, great gameplay and sheer exuberance you have a great game to play.
