When youâre registered, you can start making your avatar. In the beginning you only have a few choices for creating your avatar, but more choices will become available once you are in the game. Next, you need to choose from three room layouts to pick your first room. The hotel manager, Frank will check in on you and give you your first furniture for free. Logging back in the next day would allow you to receive more items from Frank.
Once your room is set up, you need to earn points called Duckets before you can purchase any more items like furniture and decorations. To earn Duckets, you need to increase your achievement score. This information is displayed on the top-right corner of the game screen. Look for the Duckets icon, which is a pink coin with an icon of a duck.
There are many ways to earn Duckets in Habbo Hotel for free. You can collect achievements by adding friends, visiting different rooms, joining groups, giving respect, trading and other activities that your avatar can do. To do a certain action, simply click on your avatar and a small box should pop up. Here you get options to change your name, change your look, do actions like wave, dance or drop an item that youâre holding. To add other avatars as your friend, click on them and click âAdd as Friendâ. Thereâs also an action to âGive Respectâ, which you can do three times in one day.
There are hundreds of rooms within Habbo, and they can be private or public. If youâre new, itâs great to explore public rooms first, to get to know other newbies like you. The Welcome Lounge is an ideal place to start. To move your avatar, just click on a tile where you want her to go. You can also click on chairs and stools to make it sit down. You can even order coffee from a coffee shop!
The chat console is on the bottom center of the screen, so you can click on another avatar and type your message on the console. The message appears as little pop-ups above the avatar. You can talk to anyone as long as theyâre responsive. Idle users will have some animation on them indicating that theyâve been idle for a while.
If you donât want to wait to earn enough Duckets, you can purchase Habbo Credits with a credit card and other mobile payment methods. Credits can either be a one-time purchase or a monthly subscription.

The catch is that you canât have visitors in your room unless you sign up for a paid plan.
Habbo Hotel has a great community and you can join their Facebook page for more tips, updates and announcements about the game.
Habboâs graphics are retro in style paying homage to old computer games, but this actually adds to its charm. The animations and responsiveness of the avatars are also quite impressive, considering this game has a huge community. Thereâs no default background music when you go to the common public rooms like the Welcome Lounge, but user-generated rooms do have the option to add a stereo and choose their own music to stream.
Habbo Hotel is a hip and unique virtual world where anything can happen. There are rooms for almost everyone, even those with really weird hobbies. Everyone is welcome in Habbo, and you donât have to spend a lot to enjoy endless fun and interaction. The more you play, the more you get free rewards.
