Summary

Plotline

The darkness rising is an evil dragon, and he sweeps the land with his armies bringing death and destruction in his wake. It falls to a group of heroes who search for the artifact to bring him down. Standing in their way is a vast army, and you must defeat them all and save the world from eternal night.

Gameplay

When you enter the world you are taken to a cut scene where the evil dragon essentially beats you up. Though you are then going through the tutorial on how to play and learn the basics of combat it is still a dramatic entry to your newest game. From there on in you are able to play your new character and discover this intriguing set up.

There are 4 classes to choose from, and each of them has unique abilities and skills. The Warrior is your smash and grab fighter that can take some damage and your half tank half damage. A Puppeteer is a class that is both melee and uses spells to summon allies to fight with you and can have a horde of minions. The Mage is a spell flinger that relies on range and the final class is a Bounty Hunter that dual wields pistols and has variety of stuns and slow abilities.

From there you are taken on your journey and you get to learn about the different skill sets and combos. A combo is a series of spells that trigger each other and the next step of the attack. At the end of a combo you have been able to do massive damage, but it takes some practice or a bit of learning to really get to grips with them. These are essential for hitting the end game content so it is worth practicing from the start.

You are also able to collect a variety of pets in the game to fight with you, these are very powerful towards the end game and have a lot of useful abilities that work well with your class. They can be fed beasts you do not need to make them tougher and you can evolve them too. Making these pets a great asset in the game. And of course you also have mounts that you can grab to help you on the way too.

As you progress through the game you will also come across dungeons and eventually raids. These are the best places to find a lot of the gear that you need for your class skill upgrades, evolutions and item enhancements. These can be tried solo but it is better to be in a guild to get these done. If pvp is more your style of gameplay you also have an arena league where you can take on other players and try to become top of the mountain of players.

Overall you have a really great game here, this has everything you need in an MMO, and the ability to take to the sky on wings and fight in up to 270 degree spaces is incredible. A simple control style with the more complicated combo package makes for a skillful and in depth game.

Community

Daybreak Legends: Origin is a relatively new game, and as such has a more limited amount of players. Despite that there is an active forum presence, very busy Facebook page and a host of websites dedicated to the game. With in game guilds that can do dungeons and raids however you start to get into the heart of the community.

Graphics/Sound

At first glance Daybreak Legends: Origin looks great, and when you get into the game that feeling continues as you are able to enjoy 3D combat, lots of great visuals and each classes unique attacks. The combos light up the screen and it plays beautifully. With the aerial combat and the sheer work they put into the game it looks and feels great when you play.

Conclusion

This is a really fun game, at its core it remains a fun MMO and the dynamic combat system is fun. The combo’s are a great challenge and when you master them you can really get far into the endgame and pvp. A good challenge for players and a large amount of people investing time into the game means it is a fun place to be with a lot of friends to make too.
