Casual Connect is a huge conference organised to share the experience and skills of some of the best companies and people in casual games, and we have a breakdown of what the next conference has to offer. WWGDB - Casual Connect Amsterdam 2015

Created by the Casual Games Association Casual Connect Europe is a brilliant conference that is held each year in a major European city, and for the upcoming event in February 2015 they are traveling to where it all began in Amsterdam. Being held at the Beurs Van Berlage in the city center there will be over 2000 attendees, and some of the best minds in the business giving lectures on their specialist areas.

As well as the lectures many of the top game developers will be represented each with their own tables where you can find out more about the companies, and you can also set up meetings with them to be held at the conference. Some of the names taking part are Big Fish Games, GamePoint, Goodgame Studios, Unity and Plarium. There will also be a series of lectures given by some of the top innovators and developers in the casual gaming sphere. These lectures are held over the 3 days of the event and cover a wide range of topics as selected by a group of industry advisors. Some of the key speakers you will be able to hear are David Helgason: Founder of Unity, Emily Greer Co Founder and CEO of Kongregate and Saad Choudri the Chief Commercial Officer of Miniclip Games.

Alongside these speakers there will be over 80 different lectures covering everything from development and marketing to the statistics of the games industry. Some of the hot topics include: The Future of Strategy Games by Leonard Frankel of Plarium and Developers Survival Guide by Brjann Sigurgeirsson of Image and Form. These and several other lectures are being held at different times so you can try to catch the very best of them.

Outside of the lectures there will also be a showcase for some of the top Indie Games around, all of the games have been chosen by industry professionals. You will have the chance to see and play over 100 of the best indie developer games on the market. Showing just how important Indie Developers are to designing games this exhibition is a chance for both sides to meet up and share ideas showcase their work.

One of the best parts of any conference is the networking opportunities presented to you, and at Casual Connect there are lots of social events happening too including a Pre-Funk & Badge Pickup Event with cocktails, a DJ and live music. Following that over the course of the event there is a Women’s Lunch and a prize ceremony for the top Indie Games chosen from the 100 showcased at the event.
