Starfighter Inc has a pretty solid backstory to support the game itself. The game takes place in 2230 where a generation has lived and died among the stars. However, it is also the time where the human race’s final frontier has been destabilized by corporate interests and powerful private military companies. These huge powers look to elite mercenary pilots to secure their holdings... violently if need be and this is where you come in! And yes, this means that you’ll be playing a badass elite mercenary pilot in this game!

In Starfighter Inc, you’ll be running your own mercenary corporation, much like Jagged Alliance Online. The gameplay in Starfighter Inc is different from other space combat simulator games such as Star Citizen or Elite Dangerous. It is much more intense and is filled with high-action combat, a lot like the dogfights in World of Warplanes! This game is also, currently, a purely PvP space shooter. Pilot a single-seat recon ship, fly with a squadron of interceptors or team up with others to crew a multi-seat gunship as you take part in truly massive 16-player space battles! Starfighter Inc will also feature various game modes, including dogfight, convoy escort, base assault, capture the cache and recon. Currently, the game will be providing 6 different models of spacecrafts for you to choose from and all of them have really cool names, like “Hyperion Heavy Fighter” or “Crusader Space Superiority Fighter”.

The most sellable feature in Starfighter Inc is certainly its realistic gameplay. This is and will be a hard-science driven game. This means that you’ll be able to enjoy realistic zero-g experience where players can spin, tumble and strafe their way through a gritty space frontier! In addition, Starfighter Inc will have virtual reality integration and with the hard-science stuff they have in place, you’ll be mind-blown with the immersion this game can provide! It’s definitely realism done right!

Not to mention, the game provide unparalleled customizations too, whereby you can control and customize every element; every component of your ship, from the chassis to the powertrain to the cockpit layout! And of course, there will be plenty of cool skins for your beloved spacecraft! Starfighter Inc will also be adopting a monetization model that somewhat mimics Elder Scrolls Online. This means that the game itself will be premium, but there’s a free-to-play component of the game that allows anyone who’s interested to give the game a go! In short, free-to-play players will have like a trial access to the game. Admittedly, there will be plenty of restrictions – only stock ships and no customizations or upgrades, but you’ll still be able to enjoy the game!

The Kickstarter for Starfighter Inc is offering a huge range of benefits for early supporters of the game, including digital copy of the game, digital soundtrack and artbook, beta test access as well as exclusive backer-only ships and items. They also have plenty of stretch goals in mind, including playable capital ships, a player-own universe (now, how cool is that?!), even more massive space battles (up to 32 players per match!), more ships, more game modes, Steam Workshop integration (so you can design your own ships and battlefields... uh, “battle-spaces”!) and scripted story content (a possibly episodic single-player adventure mode of sorts).
