If there's one interesting thing about Minecraft, it's that you get to meet a lot of folks as you traverse the different areas of the game, even if those folks happen to be mobs. However, some of these mobs seem to pop up once in a blue moon and are quite hard to find.
WWGDB - 10 Coolest and Rarest Spawns in Minecraft

Minecraft is populated by so many beings, from the common creatures that roam the lands to the elusive and rare ones that always seem to be hiding. Regardless, when it comes to these exotic beings, one thing is for sure: they do exist.

As hard as they are to find due to their very low spawn rates, some of them can be coaxed to show themselves if certain conditions within the game are met. This, however, requires a lot of patience on the part of the player, but when they are encountered, the fact of their rarity is usually enough to consider finding them as a gaming achievement and a big plus to the overall Minecraft gameplay experience.

Also, being rare makes these mobs quite popular and sought after by players, as many consider themselves lucky just to get the chance to see them. What's more, on rare occasions, these mobs can be corralled and set to breed, producing offspring of the same or mixed variety.

That said, let's take a look at 10 of the coolest and rarest beings in the game.

The Chicken Jockey

Popularized by A Minecraft Movie, at its basic form, it's a zombie mob riding an angry chicken and not so fun to encounter. This mob roughly depends on whether a chicken or a zombie is present with a 5% rate, and down to 0.25% if no chickens are nearby.

The Brown Panda

The Brown Panda is the rarest among the Panda types and usually spawns at jungle locations in the game. Baby Brown Pandas have a 5% rate of spawning but adults are a very rare find. Friendly, adorable, and they do sneeze a lot.

Pink Sheep

If ever you see small fluffy four-legged bovines who never stop chewing, chances are they're Sheep, but a Pink Sheep has a 1/500 chance of ever being seen. Sheep are normally white and love the grasslands, so seeing a pink one is considered lucky, and players usually keep an eye on these areas for that 1/500 coveted chance to see one.

Baby Pink Sheep

Pink Sheep are quite the reverse of Brown Pandas when spawning. A baby Pink Sheep is a way lot rarer than an adult and has a chance of 1/12,500. Baby Pink Sheep are the result of breeding two Pink Sheep, and considering their rarity, good luck to whoever wants to breed them.

The Killer Bunny

If you find out how to summon these infernal beasts, then that's the time that they will spawn. These rabbits are not natural and don't look like normal rabbits from the get-go, they don't behave like natural rabbits either.

Donkey

Believe it or not, the Donkey is considered a rare spawn in Minecraft as it only has around a 5% spawn rate. Donkeys are useful for carrying items (just like in real life) and are usually bred from a horse and a mule.

The Blue Axolotl

Inspired by the Mexican Axolotl which happens to be an endangered species, these creatures love to spawn in caves. However, the chances of breeding and spawning a Blue Axolotl is 1/1200, making it a rare and highly valued mob.

The Endermite

This creature is connected to what is known as an Ender Pearl. These are hostile creatures used in Enderman farms and can be spawned with a 5% spawn rate by throwing an Ender Pearl from which they spawn.

Zombie Piglin Riding a Strider

Extremely rare and found in the Nether, and usually spawning above lava. This spawn is the result of the unique combination of a zombie Piglin and a passive Strider in the Nether, and catching even a glimpse of one is considered to be the rarest of luck.

The Peaceful Pillager

Usually, when one encounters Pillagers, it's usually fight or flight. There, however, is an extremely rare Pillager that does not attack, is even friendly, and if ever they spawn, they can be found in villages and populated places. A particular mob that isn't supposed to happen, but it does.

Not all mobs are dangerous enemies because a lot of them are usually the local wildlife and denizens of the game. They populate Minecraft and have specific roles to play.

Mobs provide a huge chunk of the essence of the game as they can be good sources of food, act as companions, allies, and defenders, a good source for players to gain combat experience (the hostile ones at least), and contribute to the overall immersion in the game.

In closing, there are other hard-to-find mobs in Minecraft, but these 10 are the popular ones players love to hunt for. Mobs play a pivotal role in the game; these rare mobs add an extra bonus quest for players to get into by hunting and looking for them.
