Ellipsis Won Intel's Game of the Year AwardIt's not every day a game produced by an indie games company comprising of 2 hardworking developers wins a prestigious award... and from Intel nonetheless! Congrats!
If you have not heard of the game, Ellipsis, well, I'm not exactly surprised - despite its game design brilliance and intuitive game mechanics, the game is developed by an indie company, which usually doesn't have a lot of budget to do massive marketing campaigns.
However, we stumbled upon this incredible game back in February at Casual Connect this year and boy! Were we completely blown away! The game's fun and challenging in a sometimes frustrating kind of way, but when you managed to defeat a level and with all the 4 stars (I'm referring to the first time you complete a level - the untimed level)... the victory tastes oh so sweet!
That being said, that's why it's really nice to see such an amazing game getting the recognition it deserved. It has recently won Intel's Game of the Year Award at PAX West and to celebrate the momentous event, the company behind this game, Salmi GmbH, has released a Game of the Year edition of the game with 15 brand-new levels on the 2th of Sept.
If you are not convinced how amazing Ellipsis is, simply check out the gameplay video above... or you could grab the opportunity to try the first 40 levels of the game for free in the game demo, called Ellipsis - Prologue, which they have recently released.
